School Improvement

Investment

Schools with the ALT family are well-supported by the Trust in their continuing development. This includes securing a range of significant funding to improve interior and exterior school environments for students and staff.

Since the beginning of 2021, we have secured:

Major CIF-funded refurbishment of sports hall and Sixth Form block at Stokesley School & Sixth Form College

Installation of new 3G pitch and new lighting to legacy pitches at Richmond School & Sixth Form College

Complete refurbishment and new build of Northallerton School & Sixth Form College

SALIX Grant secured for energy improvement at Northallerton School & Sixth Form College

Robust Quality Assurance

Deep Dives: Termly deep dive reviews in line with the Ofsted framework.

Subject Reviews: Each subject is reviewed once per term to identify strengths and areas of improvement.

Subject Networks: Enabling high-quality professional support and challenge for subject leaders.

Superb Governance

  • Every school is assigned an ALT Board Trustee who attends Local Governing Body meetings at least once per year.

  • Training events relevant to governance are open to everyone involved across the Trust.

  • Governors from different school share expertise and support each other by volunteering on panels and committees.

  • The ALT Board undertakes external evaluations to support regular self-evaluation.
