Stokesley School: National Maths Feast Competition

It was a mathematical banquet that was presented to the 17 teams of year 10 students who took part in the National Maths Feast competition, at Teesside University on 15 March.

Organised by the Further Mathematics Support Programme, communication and teamwork skills were tested in timed challenges which were designed to develop problem solving skills, with ‘Countdown’ interludes. No calculators, or help given. Stokesley School had two teams in the competition and we are delighted with the 2nd place achieved by the team of Floriane Pappo, Hope McVean, Carla Franke and Finn Leigh-Jones pictured above.
